Jean Paul was kidnapped by his abusive father on October 16th 2009. His father faked custody papers and had Jean Paul taken off his school bus and given to him. There is a video of Jean Paul backing away from police officers begging not to be given to his father and telling them his father hits him. He was handed over anyway. It was later discovered that not only were the custody papers fake, but this has happened before. The last time Jean Paul's father kidnapped him, he held him for two years before he was returned to his mother. His mother had thought they would be safe in America. Jean Paul was Snapshot Search's third "Main Focus Child". It was at the very end of his four months as our main focus that a miracle happened. Ten months and fourteen days after he was kidnapped, Jean Paul was returned to his mother!
